Vista Fire Station No. 3 on East Vista Way was rebuilt by Erickson-Hall Construction Co. in a multi phase modernization project. The builder and city recently celebrated its completion with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Erickson-Hall Construction Co. and the city of Vista marked the opening of the newly rebuilt Vista Fire Station No. 3 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week, celebrating the end of a multi-phase modernization project.

The effort included demolishing the former 5,000-square-foot station, constructing a new facility and refurbishing a temporary site to ensure emergency services continued without interruption.

The new station has been rotated 90 degrees from its previous orientation, giving it a new primary entrance and address on East Vista Way. Crews also elevated the site to improve long-term drainage.

Mat Gates, president of Erickson-Hall Construction Co., said the project strengthens the city's emergency response capabilities.

"We are incredibly proud to deliver this cuttingedge project that will streamline the department's daily operations and serve as a cornerstone of the Vista community," Gates said in a statement.

Erickson-Hall, an employeeowned firm founded in 1998, has completed more than $4.9 billion in construction projects across Southern California, including $4.3 billion in K-12 and higher-education work. The company provides services ranging from general contracting to design-build and construction management and has earned multiple safety awards.
